The small foot print of vertical geothermal systems allow for installations on any building that has either a parking lot, yard, side walk, etc. The general design of most larger commercial and institutional buildings, new and old also makes geothermal the ideal choice, not only to reduce a buildings carbon footprint, but depending on the energy source used for heating and cooling, geothermal can significantly reduce the cost of heating and cooling these structures.
